Your Last-Minute Gift Guide

If you’re still shopping for gifts, you’re not the only one! At this point, Amazon Prime is your best friend. But you haven’t totally missed all the shipping deadlines yet, and a lot of companies are offering free two day shipping, so don’t give up yet! This is a last-minute gift guide for Christmas, but this is still a great list for host gifts, “favorite things” parties, or any other quick gifts you might need throughout the year! I’m still finishing up a few things and have certainly been using my own list, so I thought I would share for the rest of you procrastinators!

— Christmas Treats: I incorporate my love for gifting and baking by making cookies/candy for friends and co-workers for Christmas. It is an affordable option when you have a lot of people to get stuff for, and I think putting the time into something is what is most important. I like to make cute personalized tags, and putting it all together is so fun! I love Sally’s Baking Addiction, and her list of 75+ cookies is a great place to start!

— Winter/Christmas Books: We’re still building our Christmas book collection, and I love adding to it each year! I really like Everyday-Reading’s guide from 2017. It was a particularly good year for picture books and I loved all of these recommendations, especially Red and Lulu! She has quite a few years worth for even more options, including the one for 2018.

Little Sycamore gift card- I know people say gift cards can be a little impersonal. But I think this would be a great gift, because this jewelry is GORGEOUS and completely handmade with the most beautiful raw stones. A gift card is great because then it allows the recipient to personalize the jewelry however they may like (especially the Mother’s rings and necklaces), choose the correct ring size, etc. It’s not generic, and I’m recommending as something I personally would love to receive also (wink wink)!

— Gift a digital subscription, such as Color Happy: I can’t rave enough about anything that Tara from Rad & Happy creates, and this coloring page subscription is no exception. It is $5 a month (new pages each month), and you can gift it! It truly is great for the whole family, and the files are available to you forever in pdf or png format (for printing or digital coloring).

$5 gift guide: This is another annual favorite from Everyday-Reading, and I find it especially useful for stocking stuffers or for small gifts to add on to other gifts to add just a little something and make the gift feel complete.

For Kids:

  • Puzzles: These are my favorite, and they are easy to take anywhere!
  • Paint by Sticker books: So cute, without the mess! I love these ones just for kids.
  • Water Wow: These are so good for traveling, or anytime! Reusable sheets that you literally paint with just water.
  • Kapla Blocks: These are so simple, but the coolest blocks ever. Emerson got them for his birthday and we still can’t stop talking about them.

— More Stocking Stuffers: The stocking is probably one of my favorite things to open on Christmas, and my favorite thing to buy for every year, too. Some of these might seem boring, but this is the perfect place to put the more “practical” gifts. And, these are very easy to get at the last minute! Some ideas:

  • Art supplies such as new markers (these are my favorite), crayons, colored pencils, etc.
  • Make-up or skin care (obviously I think anything from Beautycounter would be a great gift!)
  • Deodorant (especially if you’re switching to safer deodorant without aluminum!) I use this one, and Chris uses this one.
  • Toothbrushes: There are actually some really cool ones out there, and so many good ones that don’t use plastic! This would seem like an add gift on its own, so into the stocking it goes!
  • Socks (Bombas are really good! And I always got new fun socks in my stocking so I don’t think it’s weird)
  • Journal / planner / calendar
  • Essential Oils (Young Living is my favorite! See more ways to use them in this post)
  • Anything in the Target dollar section- they make it so easy!
  • Tech accessories for a “big” stocking stuffer, such as an Apple pencil, an Apple watch (series 3 are super affordable right now with rebates from Target), Fit Bit, etc. I love this band for my watch; its unisex and actually looks really nice!

Hope you find the perfect gift for everyone you love!
